What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it.
This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we will and will not do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Dataforge Technologies is a privately held Zimbabwean software company based in Harare. For any question about your information, or to ask us to delete it, write to sales@dataforgezim.com or call +263 78 417 0886.
What we collect
When you use this site we may hold:
- Details you type into the contact form: your name, email, phone, organisation and your message
- Your email address if you subscribe to our occasional notes
- Conversations with the assistant on this site, including anything you choose to tell it
- Basic technical information such as the page you were on and a one way fingerprint of your network address, used to limit abuse
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not build a profile of you across other websites, and we do not sell or rent your details to anybody.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, to prepare a proposal you asked for, and to send you the notes you subscribed to. That is the whole list. If you contact us about an ERP, you will hear from us about your ERP enquiry, not about unrelated products.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. Subscriber details are kept until you ask to be removed, which takes one email and no explanation.
Where it is stored
In a database that sits outside the public area of our web server and is not reachable from the internet. Access is limited to the people at Dataforge who need it to answer you. We apply to our own systems the same standards we apply to our clients' systems.
The assistant
The assistant on this site answers questions about what we do. Conversations are stored so we can follow up properly and improve the answers. Please do not paste passwords, identity numbers or payment details into it. If you leave contact details it will pass them to our team, which is the point of it.
Your rights
Under the Cyber and Data Protection Act you may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to sales@dataforgezim.com and we will act on it and confirm when it is done.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The assistant keeps a short reference in your browser so a conversation survives a page reload. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so here. Last reviewed August 2026.
Practical notes for people who run systems
One email when we have something genuinely useful: a security warning worth acting on, a change in fiscal rules, or a pattern we keep seeing go wrong. No campaigns, and you can leave at any time.

One conversation, no charge, no obligation. If we are not the right people for it, we will tell you who is.
